Noritake Comments on the range
Noritake has revealed a sneak preview of the long awaited collection of diningware from the artistic collaboration between Qantas and the famous London-based Australian-born designer, Marc Newson.
The much anticipated range will be officially launched on July 1 and has been in planning stages for the past four years.
“The genesis of the range hails back to 2006 when Qantas announced their purchase of the new A380 Aircraft,” Yeend explains. “They brought in world famous designer Marc Newson to fit out the aircraft in a futuristic, retro style and in-flight crockery was part of the brief.
The diningware collection is comprised of seven gift wrapped fine bone china pieces, which include a 20-piece dinner set (with cup, saucer, entrée plate, dinner plate and bowl sets), a cup and saucer duo, a teapot, a pasta bowl set, a rice bowl set, a cake plate and a serving platter.
“There are many plain white bone china ranges available in the marketplace but none that come close to the design, quality and price combination that the Altitude Collection will present,” Yeend says.

Tableking Comments
Given the durability and strength demands required on dinnerware found in the aviation industry it is exciting to look towards a bone china which is both fine yet supremely strong and stylish. The Aviation range ticks all the boxes. Dishwasher safe, microwave safe, scratch resistant, chip resistant and affordable. The range deserves to be further appreciated by the general public and its retail release will expand the range to bring it new life and have it appreciated by all.

It takes alot to have your design to suit the elegant business class decor of one of the finest planes in the world, the Qantas A380. Marc Newson's design matched the quality and styling of this dinnerware to feel at home in its six star environment.

The range was recently seen on 2010 MasterChef 'Qantas' episode. We here at Tableking are very much looking forward to bring our customers the best value in this Marc Newson Qantas design.
